Canister Purge Control Valve: Service and Repair
Removal

2AZ-FXE EMISSION CONTROL: PURGE VALVE: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly    See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Removal.

2. REMOVE WATER GUARD PLATE RH   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake Booster/Service and

Repair/Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER AIR DUCT SPLASH SHIELD SEAL   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake

4. REMOVE COWL BODY MOUNTING REINFORCEMENT RH   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake

5. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Power Brake Assist/Vacuum Brake

6. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector and wire harness clamp.

(b) Disconnect the 2 fuel vapor feed hoses.

(c) Remove the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly from the air cleaner hose.
