Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal

2AZ-FXE ENGINE CONTROL: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ELECTRIC INVERTER COMPRESSOR

(a) Remove the electric inverter compressor    See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Compressor HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal.

2. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT

(a) Remove the V-ribbed belt    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and

Repair/Removal.

3. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Unit/Removal

4. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR

(a) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector.

(b) Remove the connector clamp and wire harness clamp.

(c) Remove the wire harness clamp bracket from the wire harness.

(d) Remove the bolt, and then remove the crankshaft position sensor.
