Removal

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEMS: REAR AIRBAG SENSOR: REMOVAL

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE NO. 1 HYBRID BATTERY INTAKE DUCT (for LH Side)   See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Battery

Cooling Fan/Service and Repair/Removal

3. REMOVE REAR AIRBAG SENSOR

(a) Check that the power switch is off.

(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

(c) Disconnect the connector.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(1) Push and hold the white housing lock, and slide the yellow outer connector locking sleeve.
