CELLULAR COMMUNICATION: LEXUS ENFORM SYSTEM: PRECAUTION

1. PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
*

After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting
the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

If the battery has been disconnected, it is necessary to re-initialize the system. Move the vehicle to an area with good GPS
reception (open view of the sky, GPS icon shown on map screen), turn ACC On, and wait several minutes while the system
acquires time and location data and activates Destination Assist and eDestination services. Then, cycle ACC Off to On again to
initialize XM Sports and XM Stocks services (only available if XM Radio is active and vehicle is equipped for Lexus Enform).
Additionally, XM Sports and XM Stocks data services can take several minutes to update after each ACC On.

2. PRECAUTIONS FOR DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY

(a) An HDD is built into the display and navigation module display to store map data etc. which will be used for the navigation system. Therefore,

care must be taken for the following points when handling:

(1) Do not apply any vibration or shock to the display and navigation module display.

NOTICE:

Do not drop or subject the display and navigation module display to severe impacts.

Do not use the display and navigation module display if it has been dropped or subjected to a severe impact.

(2) Do not remove the display and navigation module display if there is a risk that condensation may occur.

NOTICE:
If the temperature of the display and navigation module display changes rapidly, condensation may occur inside the unit. This may
cause a malfunction of the HDD. Therefore, when the display and navigation module display is removed from the instrument panel, it
needs to be kept inside the vehicle or in an environment with an equivalent temperature and humidity.

(3) Take measures to prevent static electricity.

NOTICE:
Touching the terminals of a connector can cause static electricity to be transmitted to the internal circuits. This may cause a
malfunction of the HDD.

(4) Keep the display and navigation module display away from magnets or magnetized items.

NOTICE:
Keep the display and navigation module display away from speakers, motors, magnetized tools and other magnetic items.

3. PRECAUTIONS FOR HARD DISK DRIVE (HDD)

(a) The map data for the navigation system is stored on the Hard Disk Drive (HDD). Make sure to follow the following instructions when

replacing the HDD:

Data downloaded by the customer may be stored on the HDD. This data will be lost when the HDD is replaced. Make sure to warn the
customer that their data will be lost obtain their consent prior to replacing the HDD.

(1) The HDD must only be replaced with a new one. Do not attempt to install a used HDD from another vehicle.
