Convertible Top Weatherstrip: Service and Repair
Installation

SLIDING ROOF / CONVERTIBLE: FRONT REMOVABLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER LH

(a) Clean the vehicle body surface.

(1) Remove the double-sided tape or butyl tape from the vehicle body.

(2) Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

(b) Install the front roof side rail weatherstrip retainer LH with the 5 screws.

2. INSTALL FRONT ROOF SIDE RAIL WEATHERSTRIP RETAINER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. INSTALL FRONT REMOVABLE ROOF WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Apply new butyl tape to the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.

(b) Remove the release paper of the butyl tape.

HINT
After removing the release paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

(c) Remove the release paper of the double-sided tape and butyl tape from the front removable roof weatherstrip.
