Removal

4GR-FSE COOLING: WATER PUMP: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

2. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

4. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM REFRIGERATION SYSTEM   See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair

5. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT   See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER

7. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

8. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

9. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT SUCTION HOSE   See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Compressor HVAC/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

10. REMOVE DISCHARGE HOSE SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Compressor HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

11. REMOVE COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH   See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Compressor HVAC/Service and Repair/Removal

and Replacement/Removal

12. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Unit/Removal

13. DISCONNECT RADIATOR HOSE

(a) Disengage the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 1 radiator hose and No. 2 radiator hose.

17. REMOVE WATER PUMP PULLEY

(a) Using SST, hold the water pump pulley.
