Knock Sensor: Service and Repair
Installation
4GR-FSE ENGINE CONTROL: KNOCK SENSOR: INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL KNOCK SENSOR
(a) Install the 2 knock sensors so that they are horizontal as shown in the illustration. Then install the 2 bolts.
Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)
HINT
It is acceptable for the knock sensor to be tilted +10° to -5°.
(b) Connect the 2 knock sensor connectors.

10. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL PIPE See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation
11. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Pressure Pulsation

12. CONNECT WATER HOSE JOINT See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Installation
13. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD
(a) Install the intake manifold See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Installation.
