Removal

NETWORKING: NETWORK GATEWAY ECU: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
When disassembling the network gateway ECU, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent the components
from being damaged.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system    See: Restraint
Systems/Air Bag Systems/Service Precautions.

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected    See: Testing and Inspection/Repair
Instruction - Initialization.

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side    See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER

Removal procedure of the RH side is the same as that of the LH side    See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

4. REMOVE SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY   See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Knee Airbag Assembly (for Front Passenger Side)/Removal

7. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY   See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

8. REMOVE NETWORK GATEWAY ECU

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the cover.

(c) Remove the network gateway ECU.
