Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Installation
FRONT SUSPENSION: FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT: INSTALLATION

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

The following procedure is for the LH side.
1. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the front lower ball joint to the front lower suspension arm with the nut.
Torque : 162 Nm (1652 kgf-cm, 119 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
Ensure that the thread and taper are free of oil or other foreign matter.
(b) Install a new clip to the front lower ball joint assembly.
NOTICE:
Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the clip are not aligned.
2. INSTALL TIE ROD ASSEMBLY
(a) Install the tie rod assembly to the front lower ball joint assembly with the nut.
Torque : 65 Nm (663 kgf-cm, 48 ft-lbf)
(b) Install a new clip.
NOTICE:
Further tighten the nut up to 60° if the holes for the clip are not aligned.
3. INSTALL STEERING KNUCKLE WITH AXLE ASSEMBLY See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Front Shock
