Front Steering Knuckle: Service and Repair
Removal
AXLE AND DIFFERENTIAL: STEERING KNUCKLE: REMOVAL

The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
2. DISCONNECT FRONT SPEED SENSOR WIRE See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed

3. SEPARATE FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY See: Wheels and Tires/Wheel Fastener/Service and Repair/Front Axle Hub
Bolt/Replacement
4. REMOVE FRONT DISC

5. REMOVE FRONT AXLE HUB SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Wheel Hub/Service and Repair/Front Axle Hub/Removal
6. REMOVE STEERING KNUCKLE
(a) Remove the clip and loosen the nut.
(b) Remove the 2 bolts and steering knuckle from the lower ball joint.
(c) Remove the nut and install the spacer (SST spacer B) as shown in the illustration.
