Flash Reprogram ECM:
Flash reprogram the Engine ECM (using calibration ID number 35301300) to improve throttle response under the following conditions.
^
From a stop (starting out), sudden accelerator pedal application to approximately 25 to 40% opening.
^
From coasting at 15 to 25 MPH or at a steady cruise of 15 to 25 MPH, 50 to 70% accelerator pedal application (to cause a 5-2 downshift).
Follow procedures outlined in TSIB No. SS001-01, ECU Flash Reprogramming Process, and flash reprogram the engine ECM with calibration file
update 35301300.
After flash reprogramming the ECM, enter the required information on the Authorized Modifications Label and affix it to the vehicle at the location
shown.
Replace TRAC ECU:
Replace the TRAC ECU to improve throttle response under the following conditions.
^
From a stop (starting out), sudden accelerator pedal application at or near Wide Open Throttle (WOT).
^
From low speed, at or near WOT accelerator pedal application while turning.
Remove lower finish panel and related HVAC duct work (below steering column) and access the TRAC ECU. Remove and replace the TRAC ECU.
NOTE:
Check "Service History" for the affected vehicle to assure that the TRAC ECU has not already been replaced.
