1. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
3. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

(a) Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

CAUTION: Do not loosen the radiator drain cock plug while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and
steam may be released and cause serious burns.
HINT: Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to local regulations.

(b) Remove the radiator reservoir cap, and using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the vent plug.
(c) Drain coolant.
(d) Loosen the 2 cylinder block drain cock plugs.

4. ADD ENGINE COOLANT

NOTICE: Before adding coolant, turn the A/C switch OFF.

Total capacity:
11.9 liters (12.6 US qts, 10.5 Imp. qts)

(a) Tighten the radiator drain cock plug by hand.
(b) Tighten the 2 cylinder block drain cock plugs.

Torque: 13 Nm (133 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)

(c) Add TOYOTA Super Long Life Coolant (SLLC) into the radiator reservoir.
