PTC Heater Relay

PTC HEATER RELAY

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:  Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

2. REMOVE PTC HEATER RELAY

a. Remove the 3 PTC heater relays from the No. 5 relay box.

3. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 2)

a. Measure the resistance of the relay.

If the result is not as specified, replace the relay.

4. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY (PTC HTR 1, PTC HTR 3)
