a. Check the function of SST.
b. Remove the SRS seat cushion airbag.

1. Remove the SRS seat cushion.
2. Remove the 3 bolts and the SRS seat cushion airbag from the seatback.

CAUTION:
-

When removing the SRS seat cushion airbag, work must be started 90 seconds after the engine switch is turned off and the
negative (-) terminal cable is disconnected from the battery.

When storing the SRS seat cushion airbag, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

c. Using a service-purpose wire harness for the vehicle, tie down the SRS seat cushion airbag to the tire.

Wire harness:
Stripped wire harness section: 1.25 sq.mm or more (0.0019 sq.in. or more)

HINT:  To calculate the area of the stripped wire harness section:

Area = 3.14 x sq.(Diameter) divided by 4

CAUTION:  If the wire harness is too thin or an alternative object is used to tie down the SRS seat cushion airbag, it may be snapped
by the shock when the airbag is deployed. Always use a wire harness for vehicle use with an area of at least 1.25 sq.mm (0.0019 sq.in.).

1. Install the 3 bolts to the SRS seat cushion airbag assembly.
2. Wind the wire harness around the stud bolts of the SRS seat cushion airbag as shown in the illustration.
3. Position the SRS seat cushion airbag inside the tire.

Tire size: Must exceed the following dimensions

Width: 185 mm (7.28 in.)
