INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTE:  After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

HINT:  When the indicator is malfunctioning, if the SRS warning light is off, follow the procedures as a DTC is not output. If the SRS warning light is
on, a DTC is output. Troubleshoot for the output DTC.

Scan Tool Testing and Procedures

DATA LIST FOR OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU

HINT:  Using the intelligent tester or Techstream to read the DATA LIST allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to
be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before
parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the DATA LIST information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

NOTE:  In the table, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding
whether a part is faulty or not.

a. Warm up the engine.
b. Turn the engine switch off.
c. Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
d. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
e. Turn the tester on.
f.

Enter the following menus.
1. Intelligent tester-Select: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / BODY /OCCUPANT DETECTION / DATA LIST.
2. Techstream-Select: Body / Occupant Detection / Data List.

g. According to the display on tester, read the "DATA LIST" or "Data List".
