HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the seat heater system.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:
11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. INSPECT ELECTRIC POWER CONTROL SYSTEM*

(a) Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

(b) Using the Techstream, check the electric power control system's load control history See: Power and Ground Distribution/Testing and

Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Operation Check.

4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Using the Techstream to check if the LIN communication system is functioning normally.

5. CHECK COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Use the Techstream to check if the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

6. CHECK FOR DTC*
