Removal

BRAKE CONTROL: YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

NOTE:
While the battery is connected, even if the engine switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the
door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal and open/close the
doors while the battery is connected.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

8. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Front

9. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE END PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Front

12. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT

(a) Detach the connector clamp (labeled A).
(b) Remove the 2 clips (labeled B) and No. 1 duct.

13. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR

(a) Remove the 2 bolts and sensor.
(b) Disconnect the sensor connector.
