Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair
Removal
1UR-FSE LUBRICATION: OIL LEVEL SENSOR (for AWD): REMOVAL
REMOVAL
1. REMOVE FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
2. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
3. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
5. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
6. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
7. DRAIN ENGINE OIL See: Engine Lubrication/Engine Oil/Service and Repair/Replacement
8. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the engine oil level sensor connector.
(b) Remove the 4 bolts.
(c) Rotate the engine oil level sensor 180° and remove it.
(d) Cut off the gasket as shown in the illustration.
(e) Remove the gasket from the oil level sensor.
HINT: After cutting away the parts of the gasket shown in the illustration, remove only the outer part of the gasket.
