Removal

1UR-FSE ENGINE MECHANICAL: WATER PUMP: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair
3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle

Body/Service and Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal
6. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVOIR ASSEMBLY See: Cooling System/Thermostat/Service and Repair/Removal
8. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

9. REMOVE V-RIBBED BELT See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt/Service and Repair/Removal

10. DISCONNECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE (for 2WD)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the dipstick guide.

11. DISCONNECT NO. 2 RADIATOR HOSE
12. DISCONNECT NO. 5 WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.

13. DISCONNECT WATER INLET HOSE

(a) Using needle-nose pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the water inlet hose.

14. DISCONNECT NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE
