REMOVAL

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly/Removal
2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Front Seat Assembly/Removal
3. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal
4. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

(a) for Driver Seat:

Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 5 clamps.

(b) for Passenger Seat:

Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the clamp.

(c) Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly.
