Removal

CRUISE CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER LH See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.
NOTE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

3. REMOVE SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Removal
4. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering

Pad/Removal

5. REMOVE STEERING PAD See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Steering Pad/Removal
6. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector and clamp.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Remove the switch.
