Only install the exhaust camshaft.

(b) Install the camshaft housing    See: Service and Repair/Camshaft (for Bank 2)/Installation.

(c) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the camshaft and camshaft timing exhaust gear.

(d) Using the hexagonal portion of the camshaft, align and attach the knock pin of the camshaft with the pin hole of the camshaft timing exhaust

gear assembly.

NOTICE:
*

Do not forcefully push on the camshaft timing exhaust gear assembly. This may cause the tip of the camshaft knock pin to damage
the installation surface of the camshaft timing exhaust gear assembly.

Be sure not to remove the other 4 bolts. If removed, replace the camshaft timing exhaust gear assembly.

(e) Apply a light coat of engine oil to the threads and under the head of the bolt.

(f) Using a wrench to hold the hexagonal portion of the camshaft, install the camshaft timing exhaust gear assembly with the bolt.

Torque : 100 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 74 ft-lbf)

(g) Remove the camshaft bearing cap    See: Service and Repair/Camshaft (for Bank 2)/Removal.

(h) Check the lock of the camshaft timing gear.

(1) Make sure that the camshaft timing exhaust gear is locked.

(i) Release the lock pin.
