Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Removal

1UR-FSE INTAKE: INTAKE MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH   See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory
and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative
(-) battery terminal.

7. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER   See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

8. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION MEMBER PROTECTOR LOWER   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 2 ENGINE UNDER COVER   See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine/Removal

10. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT   See: Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

11. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

12. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and Repair/Removal

13. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Disconnect the MAF meter connector.

(b) Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the air cleaner cap.

(c) Remove the air cleaner filter element from the air cleaner case.

(d) Remove the 2 nuts, clip and air cleaner case.
