Coolant: Service and Repair

1UR-FSE COOLING: COOLANT: REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle

Body/Service and Repair/Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET   See: Powertrain Management/Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Remove the 13 screws, 7 clips and cover.

5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT

CAUTION:
Do not remove the radiator reservoir cap and vent plug while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant
and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

(a) Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.

HINT
Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.

(b) Remove the radiator reservoir cap, and using a 6 mm hexagon wrench, remove the vent plug.

(c) Drain coolant.

(d) Loosen the 2 cylinder block drain cock plugs.
