MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION: LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM: HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

Standard voltage:

11 to 14 V

If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK FOR DTC (ELECTRICAL POWER CONTROL SYSTEM)*

(a) Using the Techstream, check if the electric power control system is functioning normally.

4. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Using the Techstream, inspect the CAN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system    See:

5. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM*

(a) Using the Techstream, inspect the LIN communication function to ensure there are no malfunctions in the communication system.
