As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.

(d) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(e) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:

As the dial is being turned, the resistance changes gradually.

(f) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(g) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard voltage:

As the circuit has a diode, perform the measurement with the tester in diode mode.

(h) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.

(i) Check that the climate control switch illuminates.

OK:

(j) If the result is not as specified, replace the switch.
