SUSPENSION: FRONT STABILIZER BAR (for 2WD): INSPECTION

1. INSPECT FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.

(b) Temporarily install the nut, use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 2 to 4 seconds per turn. Take the torque reading on the

5th turn.

Standard turning torque:

1.96 N*m (20 kgf*cm, 17 in.*lbf) or less

(c) If the value is not within the specified range, replace the rear suspension toe control link with a new one.

(d) Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leakage.
