The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH   See: Starting and Charging/Charging System/Alternator/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt
pretensioner activation.

NOTICE:
After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory
and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative
(-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH   See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine/Removal

4. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH

(a) Remove the 3 nuts and shock absorber cap.

(b) Disconnect the connector from absorber control actuator.

(c) Disconnect the absorber cap from wire harness.

5. REMOVE ABSORBER CONTROL ACTUATOR

(a) Turn the absorber control actuator counterclockwise 40° to remove it from the front pneumatic cylinder.

NOTICE:
*

Do not turn the actuator more than 40°.

Do not drop the absorber control actuator. If it is dropped, replace it with a new one.
