After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of
memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from
the negative (-) battery terminal.

3. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the console box    See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Front

Console Box (w/o Rear Seat Entertainment System)/Removal.

4. REMOVE NO. 1 CONSOLE BOX DUCT

(a) Remove the 2 screws and pull out the duct to remove it.

5. REMOVE FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the front exhaust pipe    See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Removal.

6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR NO. 1 HEAT INSULATOR   See: Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and

Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

7. DISCONNECT FLOOR SHIFT GEAR SHIFTING ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Move the shift lever to N.

(b) Remove the nut and disconnect the shifting rod from the connecting rod swivel.

8. REMOVE TRANSMISSION FLOOR SHIFT ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Detach the 6 wire harness clamps from the floor shift.

(c) Remove the 4 bolts and floor shift.
