(a) Disconnect the r3 curtain switch connector.

(b) Disconnect the r1 rear power seat switch connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

NG --  REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK CURTAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one    See: Body and Frame/Seats/Power Seat

Switch/Service and Repair/Climate Control Seat Switch (For Rear Side)/Removal.

(b) Check that the curtain can be raised or lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.

OK:

Curtain can be raised or lowered with curtain switch assembly.

NG --  REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH  See: Body and Frame/Seats/Power Seat Switch/Service and Repair/Climate
Control Seat Switch (For Rear Side)/Removal

OK --  END (CURTAIN SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)

6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR CONSOLE SWITCH)

(a) Select the item below in the Data List, and read its value displayed on the Techstream to check the rear door sunshade switch    See: Scan
