(a) Temporarily replace the curtain switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one See: Body and Frame/Seats/Seat Heater
Switch/Service and Repair/Seat Heater Switch (For Rear Side)/Removal.
(b) Check that the rear sunshade can be raised and lowered by using the curtain switch assembly.
OK:
Rear sunshade can be raised and lowered with curtain switch assembly
NG -- REPLACE REAR POWER SEAT SWITCH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and
Repair/Overhaul/Rear Console Box (For Ottoman)/Disassembly
OK -- END (CURTAIN SWITCH IS DEFECTIVE)
6. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR CONSOLE SWITCH)
(a) Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly See: Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/Rear Sunshade

DESCRIPTION
A rear sunshade switch signal is sent from the integration control and panel assembly (No. 2 console switch) to the outer mirror switch assembly through
LIN communication. The outer mirror switch assembly then sends the signal to the luggage room junction block assembly (rear junction block ECU)
through CAN communication, and the rear sunshade operates. For the curtain switch assembly, a rear sunshade signal is sent from the rear power seat
switch to the luggage room junction block assembly (rear junction block ECU), and the rear sunshade operates.
