Removal

GARAGE DOOR OPENER: GARAGE DOOR OPENER TRANSMITTER: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH See: Starting and Charging/Battery

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
-

After the power switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. As a result, after turning the power switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and Inspection/Programming
and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the map light See: Lighting and Horns/Map Light/Service and Repair/Removal.

5. REMOVE GARAGE DOOR OPENER TRANSMITTER

(a) Disconnect the connector.
(b) Remove the 2 screws and remove the garage door opener transmitter.
