Torque: 16 Nm (163 kgf-cm, 12 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Thoroughly wipe clean any seal packing.

3. SET NO. 1 CYLINDER TO TDC / COMPRESSION See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

4. INSTALL NO. 3 CHAIN TENSIONER ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

5. INSTALL NO. 1 CHAIN SUB-ASSEMBLY LH See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

6. INSTALL NO. 1 CHAIN TENSIONER SLIPPER LH See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

7. INSTALL NO. 1 CHAIN TENSIONER ASSEMBLY LH See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

8. INSTALL NO. 1 CHAIN VIBRATION DAMPER LH See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

9. TIGHTEN CAMSHAFT TIMING GEAR ASSEMBLY See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

10. CHECK NO. 1 CYLINDER TO TDC / COMPRESSION See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Reassembly

                 

11. INSTALL TIMING CHAIN COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the timing chain cover See: Engine Lubrication/Oil Pump/Service and Repair/Installation.

12. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP See: Hybrid Drive Systems/Battery System, Hybrid Drive/Hybrid Battery Service Switch/Service and

Repair/Installation

                 

13. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
