Catalytic Converter Bypass Valve Actuator: Service and Repair
Installation

2UR-FSE EMISSION CONTROL: HYDROCARBON ADSORBER CATALYST ACTUATOR: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
-

The procedures should be performed by at least 2 people.

-

Wear protective gloves when removing the exhaust pipe.

-

The exhaust pipe is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.

-

Confirm that the exhaust pipe has cooled down before removing it.

HINT: When viewed from the rear of the engine assembly, Bank 1 is on the left side and Bank 2 is on the right side.

1. INSTALL AIR CONTROL SPRING

(a) Install the spring LH and RH as shown in the illustration.

2. INSTALL UPPER NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE PROTECTOR

(a) Install the protector LH and RH with the 6 nuts.

Torque: 5.2 Nm (53 kgf-cm, 46 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 vacuum hoses.

3. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (for Bank 2 Sensor 2) See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

5. INSTALL EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

6. CONNECT EXHAUST PIPE AIR HOSE See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

7. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

8. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR BRACE See: Exhaust Pipe/Service and Repair/Installation

9. INSTALL FRONT CENTER FLOOR COVER See: Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine Assembly/Installation
