Removal

L110F HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL: HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH See: Starting and Charging/Battery

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat
belt pretensioner activation.
NOTICE:
-

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

After the power switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and
settings. Therefore, after turning the power switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery
terminal.

4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

5. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Engine Control Module/Service and

Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU

(a) Disconnect the 4 hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors.
(b) Remove the 2 nuts and hybrid vehicle control ECU.

8. REMOVE ECU BRACKET
