Introduction

Some 2008 - 2010 model year LS 600hL vehicles may exhibit a MIL "ON" condition with Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1423 - Fuel Tank Gross
Leak, or a fuel cap binding upon installation or removal. Use the following repair procedure to diagnose and repair this condition.

This repair is covered under the Lexus Federal Emission Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first,
from the vehicle's in-service date.
