Navigation Module: Service and Repair
Removal

NAVIGATION: NAVIGATION ECU (for DVD): REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

2. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH See: Starting and Charging/Battery

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat
belt pretensioner activation.
NOTE: When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and

Repair/Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER MOULDING See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service

and Repair/Removal

6. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard /

Instrument Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and Repair/Front Passenger Side Knee

Airbag Assembly/Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service and

Repair/Front Passenger Side Knee Airbag Assembly/Removal

9. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Dashboard / Instrument

Panel/Service and Repair/Removal

10. REMOVE NAVIGATION ECU WITH DISC PLAYER BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and ECU.
(b) Disconnect the ECU connectors.
