SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY: INSTALLATION

INSTALLATION

HINT:

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

-

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. INSTALL CURTAIN SHIELD AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the curtain shield airbag with the 2 clips and 8 bolts.

Torque: 11 Nm (110 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf)

NOTE: Do not twist the curtain shield airbag when installing it.

(b) Connect the connector.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

2. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY

(a) Refer to the procedures from "INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY" See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding /

Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Installation.

3. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER See: Starting and Charging/Battery

5. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY 

6. CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT

(a) Check the SRS warning light See: Testing and Inspection/Pinout Values and Diagnostic Parameters.
