1. INSTALL REAR AIRBAG SENSOR

(a) Check that the power switch is OFF.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the battery negative (-) terminal.

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat
belt pretensioner activation.

(c) Install the rear airbag sensor with the bolt.

Torque: 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

NOTICE:
-

If the rear airbag sensor has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case, bracket or connector, replace it with a
new one.

When installing the rear airbag sensor, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with other parts and that it is not pinched between
other parts.

(d) Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the rear airbag sensor.
(e) Connect the connector.

(a) Install the rear seatback assembly LH See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Assembly (for Ottoman)/Installation.
(b) Install the rear seatback assembly RH See: Body and Frame/Seats/Service and Repair/Rear Seat Assembly (for Ottoman)/Installation.

11. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

12. INSTALL BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH See: Starting and Charging/Battery
