(b) Pull out the steering pad from the steering wheel assembly and support the steering pad with one hand as shown in the illustration.

NOTE: When removing the steering pad, do not pull the airbag wire harness.

(c) Disconnect the horn connector.
(d) Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the steering pad.

NOTE: When handling the airbag connectors, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

9. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the steering wheel set nut.
(b) Put matchmarks on the steering wheel and main shaft.
(c) Using SST, remove the steering wheel assembly.

10. REMOVE STEERING SHAKE DAMPER

(a) Remove the 2 screws and shake damper.

11. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH MODULATOR
