REMOVAL

Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side

The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL
2. REMOVE NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive Axles, Bearings and Joints/Axle Shaft

Assembly/Service and Repair/Rear Drive Shaft Assembly/Removal

3. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed

Sensor/Service and Repair/Rear Speed Sensor/Removal

4. REMOVE LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET See: Sensors and Switches - Suspension/Ride Height Sensor/Service and

Repair/Height Control Sensor (for Rear LH)/Removal

5. REMOVE REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH See: Stabilizer Bar/Service and Repair/Rear Stabilizer Bar/Removal

6. DISCONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH See: Rear Upper Arm/Removal

7. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Using a plastic-faced hammer or equivalent, strike the part labeled A from the rear of the vehicle to maintain the clearance at the slide pin area.

NOTE: Be careful not to damage the arm.

(b) Remove the nut, washer, bolt and No. 2 suspension arm from the axle carrier.
