When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected  See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.

After the power switch is turned OFF, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory
and settings. As a result, after turning the power switch OFF, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-)
battery terminal.

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER INLET COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Engine Assembly/Removal

6. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

Assembly/Removal

7. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Engine

8. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT FENDER WHEEL OPENING MOULDING LH

11. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE ASSEMBLY See: Body and Frame/Grille/Service and Repair/Removal

12. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal

13. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal

14. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal

15. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER RH See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal

16. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER See: Body and Frame/Bumper/Front Bumper/Service and Repair/Removal

17. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

(a) Remove the 9 screws, 7 clips and under cover.

18. DISCONNECT FRONT FENDER LINER LH

(a) Remove the 3 screws.
(b) Partially remove the fender liner.

HINT: It is not necessary to fully remove the fender liner. Partially remove it so that the ECU can be removed.
