INTERIOR: REAR SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
1. CHECK REAR SUNSHADE ASSEMBLY
(a) With the shift lever on P, the power switch ON (IG), and the rear sunshade fully lowered, check that pressing the integration control and panel
assembly's rear sunshade switch fully raises the rear sunshade.
(b) With the shift lever on P, the power switch ON (IG), and the rear sunshade fully raised, check that pressing the integration control and panel
assembly's rear sunshade switch fully lowers the rear sunshade.
(c) With the shift lever on P, the power switch ON (IG), and the rear sunshade fully lowered, check that pressing the curtain switch assembly's rear
sunshade switch fully raises the rear sunshade.
(d) With the shift lever on P, the power switch ON (IG), and the rear sunshade fully raised, check that pressing the curtain switch assembly's rear
sunshade switch fully lowers the rear sunshade.
(e) With the shift lever on P, the power switch ON (IG), and the rear sunshade fully raised, check that moving the shift lever to R fully lowers the
rear sunshade.
(f) When the power switch is turned off while the rear sunshade is rising or lowering, check that the operation continues until the rear sunshade
has fully risen or fully lowered, respectively.
(g) For 60 seconds after the power switch is turned from ON (IG) to OFF, check that pressing the integration control and panel assembly's rear
sunshade switch fully lowers or raises the rear sunshade. Also, after 60 seconds have passed, check that operation of the rear sunshade is not
possible.

INTERIOR: REAR DOOR SUNSHADE SYSTEM: OPERATION CHECK
OPERATION CHECK
HINT: Before performing the inspection, make sure the power window control system is operating normally.
1. CHECK MANUAL OPERATION
(a) By operating the switch, check that the rear curtain rises and lowers.
(b) When the rear curtain on both sides or one side is fully raised and the No. 2 console switch's rear door sunshade switch is pressed, check that
the rear curtains lower. When the switch is pressed again, check that the rear curtains rise.
2. CHECK KEY OFF SWITCH OPERATION
(a) When the read door sunshade is operating and the power switch is turned from ON to OFF, check that the operation continues.
(b) After the power switch is turned from ON (IG) or start to OFF, check that the rear curtain can be operated for approximately 60 seconds.
3. CHECK WINDOW OPERATION LINKED FUNCTION
(a) After the rear curtain is fully raised or while the rear curtain is being raised, if the window is moved out of the fully closed position, check that
the sunshade automatically lowers.
4. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION (MECHANICAL DETACHMENT FUNCTION)
CAUTION:
-
Do not use a part of your body, for example, your hand, to check the jam protection.
-
Do not allow anything to become caught in the rear curtain by accident in this procedure.
-
Perform the inspection from the inside of the vehicle.
NOTICE:
-
Do not use hard objects such as a hammer, to avoid damage to the rear curtain.
(a) When the rear curtain close operation is operating and an object is caught between the vehicle body and rear curtain, check that the rear curtain
detaches.
(b) After the rear curtain detaches, the position reset operation must be performed See: Programming and Relearning/Rear Door Sunshade System.

INTERIOR: REAR DOOR SUNSHADE SYSTEM: DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST
1. DATA LIST
HINT: Using the intelligent tester or Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensor, actuators and other items
to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be
discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.
NOTE: In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values
when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.
(a) Connect the intelligent tester or Techstream to the DLC3.
(b) Turn the power switch ON (IG).
(c) Turn the tester on.
