AM CROSSTALK INTERFERENCE

Introduction

A second station can be heard when listening to an AM station (crosstalk interference) on '98 LS 400s and GS 300/400s with Pioneer radio only and '99
RX 300s with Pioneer or Nakamichi radios. This condition is due to specification changes to the radio.

Applicable Warranty*:
This repair is covered under the Lexus Basic Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 48 months or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the
vehicle's in-service date.

Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.

Repair Procedure

Exchange the '98 LS 400 and GS 300/400 Pioneer radio, or '99 RX 300 Pioneer or Nakamichi radios, through Pioneer's exchange program. Make
sure to ask for "AM Crosstalk" countermeasure units. Some 1998 model radios have been modified by the vendor and are identified by hand written
letters in the Call Letter Box. Unmodified and factory modified units have computer generated letters in the Call Letter Box (See Tables).
