RX 450h AWD V6-3.5L (2GR-FXE) Hybrid (2011)
While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is off, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or
any door courtesy switch is turned on. Therefore, when servicing the brake system components, do not depress the brake pedal or
open/close the doors while the battery is connected.
1. PRECAUTION (w/ Air Suspension)
NOTICE:

2. PRECAUTION (w/ Navigation System for HDD)
NOTICE:
After the power switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of
memory and setting. As a result, after turning the power switch off, make sure to wait at least 60 seconds before disconnecting the
cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
3. DISCONNECT BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP CONNECTOR See: Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
4. PERFORM ACCUMULATOR PRESSURE ZERO DOWN See: Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement/Removal
5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected See: Testing and
Inspection/Programming and Relearning/Repair Instruction - Initialization.
6. REMOVE ECM

7. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
8. REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR AND BRAKE BOOSTER PUMP
(a) Release the lock lever and disconnect the connector.
NOTICE:
Do not allow brake fluid to contact the connector face.
(b) Disconnect the 4 clamps.
(c) Separate the brake actuator hose and No. 2 brake actuator hose.
