Exhaust Manifold: Service and Repair
Removal

2GR-FXE INTAKE / EXHAUST: EXHAUST MANIFOLD: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly    See: Wiper and Washer Systems/Wiper Motor/Service and Repair/Front Wiper

Motor/Removal.

2. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP LH (w/ Air Suspension)   See: Steering and Suspension/Suspension/Suspension Strut / Shock

Absorber/Service and Repair/Front Shock Absorber (w/ Air Suspension)/Removal

3. REMOVE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER CAP RH (w/ Air Suspension)

HINT
Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

4. REMOVE OUTER COWL TOP PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Hydraulic System/Brake Master Cylinder/Service

and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIATOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the No. 2 radiator assembly    See: Cooling System/Radiator/Service and Repair/Radiator/Removal.

6. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR COVER LH

(a) Remove the clip (A).

(b) Disconnect the 2 clips (B).

(c) Remove the 2 screws, 4 bolts and front floor cover LH.

7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 3 EXHAUST PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the 2 clamps and oxygen sensor connector (for Bank 1 Sensor 2).

(b) Remove the 4 bolts, 2 nuts, 2 compression springs and No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.

(c) Remove the 3 gaskets from the No. 3 exhaust pipe sub-assembly.
