(b) While applying the parking brakes, install the new rear axle shaft nut.

Torque : 294 Nm (2998 kgf-cm, 217 ft-lbf)

(c) Using a chisel and a hammer, stake the rear axle shaft nut.

12. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE AND PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL   See: Brakes and Traction Control/Parking

13. BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM

14. STABILIZE SUSPENSION   See: Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber/Service and Repair/Rear Shock Absorber/Installation

15. FULLY TIGHTEN REAR AXLE CARRIER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Fully tighten the nut.

Torque : 150 Nm (1530 kgf-cm, 111 ft-lbf)

NOTICE:
The final torque must be applied under standard vehicle height conditions.

16. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER (w/o Air Suspension)   See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Lower Arm/Installation

17. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION ARM COVER (w/ Air Suspension)   See: Control Arm/Service and Repair/Rear Lower Arm/Installation

18. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

Torque : 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)

19. INSPECT FOR AIR LEAK (w/ Air Suspension)

20. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT

21. CHECK SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL
