A software change has been made to the microprocessor inside the Nakamichi radio to reduce the effect of engine cranking on the audio system.

Nakamichi began shipping exchange units with the countermeasure on 6/92, Exchange units with the countermeasure will have a black mark on the
cassette mechanism which is visible when opening the cassette door.
