Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes: Testing and Inspection
Antilock Brake (ABS) System

1. Ensure battery voltage is between 10-14.5 volts.
2. Disconnect actuator electrical connectors.
3. Connect actuator check tool Nos. 09990-00150, 09990-00210, 09990-00250 and 09990-00280 to actuator via the sub wire harness.
4. Connect checker tool red cable to battery positive terminal and black cable to battery ground, connect black cable of sub wire harness to battery

ground terminal or body ground.

5. Start engine and allow to idle.
6. Turn actuator checker Main switch to Front RH position.
7. Depress and hold Sub Motor switch for a few seconds.
8. Depress brake pedal and hold until step 11 is completed.
9. Depress Main switch, ensuring brake pedal does not go down. Do not depress Main switch for more then 10 seconds.

Release switch, ensuring brake pedal goes down.

Depress and hold Sub Motor switch for a few seconds, ensuring pedal returns.

Release brake pedal.

13.

Depress and hold Sub Motor switch for a few seconds.

14.

Depress brake pedal and hold about 15 seconds, as pedal is down, depress Sub Motor switch for a few seconds, ensuring pedal does not pulsate.

15.

Turn Main selector switch to Front LH position.

16.

Repeat steps 7 through 14, then inspect Rear RH and Rear LH.

17.

Depress and hold Sub Motor switch for a few seconds.
