1. Inspect the following wiring harnesses for open or short circuit (continuity check).

Open circuit

If there is no continuity, there is an open circuit. Repair or replace the harness.

Fuel pump unit terminal A and fuel pump relay terminal C

Fuel pump unit terminal E and body GND (except for California emission regulation applicable model)

Fuel pump unit terminal B and body GND (for California emission regulation applicable model)

Short circuit
-

If there is continuity, there is a short circuit. Repair or replace the harness.
-

Fuel pump unit terminal A and body GND

-

Fuel pump unit terminal E and power supply (except for California emission regulation applicable model)

-

Fuel pump unit terminal B and power supply (for California emission regulation applicable model)

Fuel Static Pressure Inspection

NOTE:  The fuel static pressure inspection cannot be performed because the pressure regulator is integrated with the fuel pump unit.
